Violence in Caborca: four violent events left three executed and two injured

Between Saturday night and the early morning of Sunday, April 10, four violent events occurred that left three people dead and two injured, the Sonora Prosecutor's Office reported.

“In coordination with members of the State Security Board, the FGE is investigating various events that left three people without life, two female, and one male, and two people with minor injuries, one male minor and one adult,” the agency said in a statement.

The first event was recorded at 23:42 hours on Saturday, when FGJE personnel learned, through the C5i, of the discovery of the body of a man without life, whom neighbors pointed out with the nickname of El Nicho, in the neighborhood El Ventarrón.

Expert Services personnel insured two vehicles with gunshot projectiles, a Toyota Cambry, model 2008, and a Ford Focus, model 2009, as well as several firing cartridges.

At approximately 00:59 hours this Sunday, April 10, the authorities received the report of a second body without life. It was a 15-year-old girl inside a house in the Centro neighborhood, a building that had multiple projectile hits.

It was also known that a 5-year-old boy received medical attention, who had shrapnel injuries that “take less than 15 days to heal and are not life-threatening,” said the FGE. On the outside of the building, various ballistic evidence was collected.

A 45-year-old woman, identified as Ana Verónica, was murdered inside a home located in the Real de los Viñedos 2 neighborhood, at approximately 01:00 hours.

“The property has multiple damage caused by firearm projectiles, various ballistic evidence and various objects were collected from the site, as well as a bag containing narcotics with the characteristic of marijuana,” the prosecutor's office specified.

In the Bureaucrat colony, at 00:05 hours on April 10, a 58-year-old male was injured by shell shards, after he was attacked by a male carrying a firearm.
