The memes after Deportivo Cali's triumph against Boca Juniors: “He danced to you tasty”

Despite the weak moment he is experiencing in the BetPlay League, Deportivo Cali surprised Boca Juniors on the first date of group E of the Copa Libertadores. The group 'Azucarero' respected their local status and beat the 'Xeneizes' 2-0 thanks to the scores of Guillermo Burdisso (70′) and Jhon Vasquez (80′).

The match did not have many clear scoring options, and the offensive intentions were divided between both teams. Boca began by pressing the 'Verdiblanco' painting with some approximations; however, the 'Green-whites' reacted and also approached the arc guarded by Agustín Rossi, especially in the second half.

After the engagement, Deportivo Cali coach Rafael Dudamel highlighted several virtues, from attitude and personality, to “the greatness with which the team has played”. Likewise, he stressed the importance of their leaders being applied tactically.

“It was a very intense match and keeping it at that pace during the match was not easy, but the good work of the starting 11 and the substitutions made the team work very well throughout the match, something was worth playing with five in the background as against La Equidad last Friday,” he said.

The next Deportivo Cali match (Saturday 9 April) will be hosting the Barranquilla Junior at the Palmaseca stadium for the 15th date of the BetPlay League.
