The deputy for the National Action Party (PAN), Margarita Zavala, was criticized by social media users when she announced her support for a child stay.
In a post on his official Twitter account, he said that he did not respond to the president's statements at his morning conference on March 30 because he was engaged in a different matter at the Alvaro Obregon mayor's office.
Since Mayor Lía Limón implemented a Children's Stay program in this area, which seeks to support “mothers, fathers and guardians with daughters or girls in their care between 9 months and up to one day before their fifth birthday, including children with disabilities, who are in a situation of vulnerability”.
The event consisted of the reopening of a children's stay, according to what Mayor Limón posted on her Twitter account “accompanied by allied friends”, including federal deputy Laura Barrera Fortoul, as well as Margarita Zavala.
Zavala, also shared the moment on his Twitter account:
Along with the commentary, he uploaded some images of the event in which he posed with several children and Mayor Lía Limón, who attended the event of the reopening of the children's ranch “Hormiguitas de Sebastián”.
However, the deputy panista backfired, as the publication could only bring to the mind of many users of that social network the tragic events of the fire at the ABC Nursery, in which 49 infants died.
Users expressed their disagreement and, through scathing comments, singled out and branded Zavala a “cynic” because of the alleged role she and her husband, former President Felipe Calderón Hinojosa, played in obstructing investigations resulting from the 2009 Hermosillo daycare incident.

“If only you were so ashamed. But you don't even know her”; “Don't burn them down” or “Children's rooms are for children, not just to look good”, were some of the messages in which they pointed out the former first lady as responsible for the tragedy.
Likewise, they shared the video in which the chief minister of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), Arturo Zaldívar, pointed out that Felipe Calderón, through the then Secretary of the Interior, Fernando Gómez Mont, exerted pressure to protect Margarita Zavala's relatives because they owned the facilities in which the nursery was established.
Zaldivar was referring to Zavala's cousin, Marcia Matilde Altagracia Gómez del Campo, who was listed as one of the owners of the nursery.
The Nursery was established in a state winery belonging to the Ministry of Finance of the State of Sonora. The place did not have the necessary features to ensure the safety of children, and although it was previously designated by Civil Protection, the site continued to operate.
Faced with this wave of comments, the deputy gave no response. However, during the controversy at the end of February, she assured that Zaldivar lied, assuring that she accompanied the efforts to repair the damage to the victims.
