Crime in Callao: jewelry owner is killed by criminals inside his premises

Security cameras showed the precise moment when a gunman shot the owner of the jewelry store in cold blood in the afternoon.

Crime in Callao that ended with the death of Carlos Eduardo Coaquira Alhuay (46), who resisted an assault inside his premises and was killed in cold blood with a bullet in the head. The incident occurred at approximately five o'clock on Wednesday afternoon, in the 5th block of Saenz Peña Avenue in the Polvos Chalacos shopping arcade.

According to information from ATV Noticias, on Wednesday two armed criminals entered stand A101 to assault Carlos, a well-known jeweler in the Poldos Chalacos gallery. In that sense, he resisted the theft of his money that he had in a backpack, according to the version of neighbors, which led to his rapid death.

The subjects managed to escape with two trays of jewels and it is presumed that they also took Carlos Coaquira's backpack. Security cameras recorded the precise moments where whoever shot the victim was wearing a motorcycle helmet, which did not allow him to be identified.

Dirincri Callao agents arrived at the scene to inspect and search for further clues to identify the criminals who attacked Mr. Carlos. On the other hand, residents of the area are concerned about the growth of crime in the area, which is located three blocks from the police headquarters.

In addition, local merchants added to ATV News who heard between two to three shots. However, they point out that this is the first time that this event has occurred in the area.
