Jesús Ochoa will return to soap operas amid criticism of problems with ANDA

The telenovela Vencar la absencia will be the scene of Jesús Ochoa's return to soap operas after almost four years, however, controversies over his direction in the National Actors Association, as well as other statements made against him, have seen his return to the small screen obscured.

Rosy Ocampo, producer of Vencer la absencia through her social networks, announced the cast of her soap opera, including Danilo Carrera, Mariana Garza and Jesús Ochoa. The latter will play the role of Roberto, although no details have been given of what his role will be in the story.

The news drew attention, as Ochoa stopped participating in melodramas in 2018. His return as part of the installments of Vencer was applauded by many viewers who recalled his participation in other soap operas, as well as his performance in the hit Netflix series Narcos.

However, some netizens recalled the controversies in which the actor has been involved in recent years, as different artists have pointed him out for an alleged misleadership of the National Actors Association (ANDA) and alleged diversion of resources that would belong to the Actor's House.

“And his character is from the ANDA, where he steals everything from the elderly...????” , “It is that since he probably will no longer have his position in the ANDA he needs to work because he can no longer divert the money that went to the Actor's House”, “Disgusting that they put that guy into the novel, old, current and conflictive”, reads on the social networks of the production company where the character of Ochoa was announced.

And it is that the protagonist of Aquí entre nos was singled out by actors such as Jorge Ortiz de Pinedo and Laura Zapata for supposedly not being transparent about the finances of the ANDA, as well as alleged irregularities in the Actor's House and that this asylum has not received income from the Association for three years.

Ortiz de Pinedo announced last January that ANDA's debt to the Actor's House already amounts to 22 million pesos and it becomes increasingly difficult to take care of the people who live in the asylum, as there are fewer resources every day. He pointed to the protagonist of The Beloved c as responsible for this.

Zapata, for his part, is fighting to remove him as leader of the ANDA, as he made his own form to compete against him in the upcoming elections of the Association.

A few days ago Ferdinando Valencia also pointed out again that Ochoa because he refused to give him any kind of support amid the problems of the health that his son went through and, subsequently, his death. According to the actor, the leader of the ANDA argued that they were friends and could be interpreted as a conflict of interest or nepotism, so from that moment on. After this bitter drink, Jesus became one of the “greatest disappointments as a human being” he has ever had in his life.

Despite the accusations, which involve Ochoa and his new character, the actor has celebrated his new projects within Televisa, as he will not only be part of Vencar la absencia, but also became the protagonist of the program Perdiendo el Juicio.
