Just a week ago it became known that Mauro Urquijo and his wife Maria Gabriela Isler, whom he married in September 2019, ended the relationship unexpectedly, after the actor decided to pack their bags and leave the house where they lived together.
The information was revealed by Carlos Vargas, host of 'La red' (Caracol Televisión), and it was the same trans model who confirmed this version through a statement made on her Instagram account.
Although María Gabriela's words at that time were little revealing, days later she was encouraged to tell certain secrets that account for the difficulties she and her husband faced in defending their love affair, including their own family.
Everything was revealed in the middle of the interview that the trans model gave to 'La red', in which she said that Mauro Urquijo's mother was always opposed to the relationship and, not happy with her position, sought to make his son's wife uncomfortable with strong offenses.
But not happy with this, according to Maria Gabriela Isler, the woman began to meddle more and more in the problems of her son's relationship. She even says that she sowed in him a distrust that did not exist before and they came to the point of 'splitting' both over her.
“Mom said a lot of things about me, like that I was a prostitute. He also said that I supposedly took advantage of his fame, but his fame was that of a vivor (...) I realized that Mauro had spoken ill of me because she once told me: 'You are a man in a woman's costume, '” he added in his talk with 'The Network'.

Mauro Urquijo's mother's questions about Isler were not only because of her transgender status, but also pointed out her to take away her son's economic independence and even denounced her before the authorities to drug and kidnap the actor.
Finally, Maria Gabriela confirmed that she has not spoken to her husband since the day she fled the house. In fact, she admitted that she still doesn't understand the reason why he abandoned her and gave her no explanation about her unexpected departure.
