PSG fans whistle at Messi and Neymar
Just over two weeks after a painful elimination by Real Madrid in the Champions League, the public's failure of PSG to its players continues to give what to talk about. Especially because of the whistles to Lionel Messi and Neymar, two of the greatest figures in the Parisian painting.
After a weekend in which La Pulga only received affection from the Argentine public, with a warm farewell at La Bombonera in the match against Venezuela for the South American qualifiers, a world football star questioned the way French supporters act.
“PSG hasn't had a player of that level in history.” The phrase belongs to Cesc Fabregas, friend and former partner of Lionel Messi at Barcelona. “I think it's better to be grateful and support him,” the French Monaco footballer continued to the newspaper Marca.
“In the end you are talking about a player who has just arrived and that they haven't seen in PSG in their lifetime. They have never had a player of that level in the entire history of PSG,” Fabregas assured in a fiery defense.
“It's better to be grateful and support him, rather than crush him. Because he is a player who, if not this year, next year, can give you great joy, which is what they want,” added the footballer, who had reproached the attitude of the PSG public on social networks: “Football has no memory whatsoever... it's a shame. Always with you brothers.”

Fábregas told a similar episode he suffered at Barcelona, but it made a big difference with what happened to his friend: “Camp Nou has beaten me and I know what it is. I understand that hobbies sometimes want to create a moment of tension so that players realize that, well, I should do more, or they are not happy with one or the other. But I think that, during the match, you have to rely on that when you always play.”
He added: “Before the game, when they say your name, or if they want to beep you after the game, perfect. But I think what Messi and Neymar experienced during the game, when they touched the ball... is very ugly. If someone lost the ball, Neymar or another player, they seemed to be glad, applauded. Then they played the ball and whistled them. I know you can say 'they charge a lot' or 'is that they lost to Madrid'... But what do you think, that they didn't want to win? They are the first ones who want to win.”
Finally, he had no hesitation in stating that Messi was the best in history. “Leo's case is simple, for me he is the best player in history. The best one I've ever seen and played with. After that, many things can be qualified, but what I have seen from him has been exceptional.”
