According to information from what happened on the night of March 26, more than 10,000 people were waiting at the Atanasio Girardot stadium for the Mexican regional music singer, Christian Nodal, to arrive. The concert, spectators say, was proceeding normally. Jessi Uribe and Jerry Rivera fulfilled their scheduled schedule for that night, however, Nodal never arrived. Through his Instagram account, the musician commented that he had had technical problems boarding the flight.

“My people from Medellín, this video is to apologize to all of you because today it is impossible for me to get to sing to you, I have been trying to get to Medallo in every possible way (...) I couldn't (...) I took two different planes, there were two technical failures and the weather was not in our favor, I hope you understand that all this came out of our hands, our control. I was very excited to get to sing to you and bring me an unforgettable night and that you guys would have an unforgettable night,” said the artist. The video published by attendees of the event shows how the public, angry at the news, begin to boo the organizers and throw chairs and other objects onto the stage.

Nodal stressed that everything was fully confirmed and that the businessmen in charge of taking him to Colombia had done an excellent one. Everything fell, says the musician, in circumstances that got out of hand with everything. Nodal assured that he will soon be rescheduling his concert in the capital of the department of Antioquia. This apology video was uploaded just hours after Nodal, in another clip, confirmed that he was only moments away from seeing his fans in that Colombian city. “My people from Medellín, we are going to have a bad night today, see you Medallo, I love you”, he said before the cancellation. The musician is visiting different countries with his concert tour called 'Outlaw'.

“The doors were going to open it at 4 in the afternoon and that didn't happen. It was 7 o'clock in the evening and people were still coming in. Some DJs played, then it started to rain, Jerry Rivera came out, the MS Band that played like 90 minutes and finally Jessi Uribe. It was 2:20 in the morning and the whole box began to vacate. Nodal did not arrive,” said one of the attendees of the failed concert in an interview with the newspaper El Tiempo.

According to citizens who were at the musical meeting, on social networks, the organization of the concert would have ignored the fact of warning them, in time, of the Mexican's absence, in the end, they say, the filmmakers knew from before that Nodal would not be in Medellín. “What makes me most angry is that the organizers knew all this time that Nodal was not going to arrive and they still went ahead and decided to warn when everyone was already taken, tired and desperate,” he added.
