The news of the murder of Federico Martín Aramburu continues to be on the main front pages of the French media. The former Puma was gunned down by former military man with a history of violence Loik Le Priol, who was accompanied by his partner, Lison R., who was driving the van from where they shot, and a third man named Romain Bouvier, who was arrested in Nantes. The one who spoke in the last few hours was Maître Yann Le Bras, lawyer for the Aramburu family.

On the arrest of the two men accused of the death of the 42-year-old former rugbier Platense, he said in France Info: “Obviously it is a big step forward for the procedure and a relief for the family to know, first of all, the mobilization of the investigative services. The formidable crime brigade of the 36th Parisian judicial police and then the arrests of the two main suspects. This is an important step. There's a funeral on Saturday. It won't bring Frederick back, but it still provides a moment of relief.”

When he gave his testimony, Yan Le Bras explained that the European arrest warrant passed from the Parisian investigating judge to the Ministry of Justice, which at the same time sends it to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which makes the reverse circuit through the Hungarian ministries, where Le Priol was found. The alleged murderer could agree to be immediately handed over to France within 10 days or refuse by extending the deadline to two months. It has already been reported that the first option will be proceeded.

“These are former soldiers who know how to use weapons. They were two characters who came and went around Paris armed. You'll have to explain that. And there is a series of shots that show a determination to kill and also a perfectly achieved result. One is not hit, survives, and the other is shot on the spot. The will to kill is explicit, was the resounding statement of the renowned French lawyer.

Regarding the chronology of the night of the murder, Yan Le Bras reviewed that Federico Aramburu was with his partner and friend Shaun Hegarty for different reasons, mainly the rugby match that would define the Six Nations Tournament between France and England at the Stade de France. They took a group of people who had paid for a tour with their travel agency and on the night of the shooting they met at an Argentinian restaurant to celebrate the birthday of a former rugby. After dinner, they went to the terrace of Bar Mabillon, where the dispute took place.

“There is a young man who asked the far-right group for a cigarette, who rejected it in a derogatory and humiliating way. The group of rugbiers defended him by recriminating that 'this is not how people are talked', which triggered an altercation between the two tables,” said the lawyer, who also mentioned that the investigators will have to determine if in fact the attackers showed a police bracelet pretending to be a commando.

Later, the worst broke out: “It was an altercation scene in the bar. Security personnel and some waiters managed to separate the two groups of two people. It was a little fight in a bar, nothing serious. In the rugby codes that stops there and everyone goes their own way.” When asked about an alleged exchange of racist insults, Yan Le Bras concluded: “I think they are two different worlds, that of rugbiers, who have a more empathetic view of evenings, parties and human relations, and the others, which are in a radical, scandalous version and have not been able to stop since the problem began. They are two worlds that are not based on the same paradigms or values.”
