Madrid, 25 Mar The famous German composer and pianist Max Richter returns with “The New Four Seasons: Vivaldi Recomposed” to “The Four Seasons” by Antonio Vivaldi after the album he released in 2012, which became a worldwide success. This is, reports Deutsche Grammophon, responsible for this release, of a new recording made with period instruments, using gut strings to create a “starker, more punk rock sound”. Richter has also revisited electronics, opting here for Moog synthesizers from the 70s, “the equivalent of the Stradivarius”, according to him. Along with the German, the American violinist of Basque and Mexican origin appears on this album Elena Urioste and La Chineke! Orchestra, a European ensemble that boasts a great ethnic diversity among its members. It will be on June 10 when the new album will be released, heir to the original “Recomposed by Max Richter: Vivaldi — The Four Seasons”, although from this Friday it is possible to enjoy the preview “Spring 1". The choice of this iconic group of four concerts composed by Vivaldi around 1721 was, as the press release recalls, because Richter had lost its impact due to excessive exposure. The result became a success that has remained valid through soundtracks such as that of the television series “The Bridgertons” and “The Crown”. CHIEF jhv/icn
