Daniella Álvarez's struggle after part of her left leg was amputated in June 2020 has become an example of overcoming the country; however, in the midst of her recovery the presenter has faced difficult moments. For example, at present women will have to be unable to walk for several days, as a serious injury was caused to her right foot.
It should be remembered that the former Miss Colombia had to have part of her leg amputated after a complication in an operation on her abdomen caused ischemia in the lower part of her body, that is, her feet did not reach the blood necessary for her functioning. Although both of his feet were affected, his right had the possibility of regaining mobility with physiotherapy, which is why Álvarez decided to accept the amputation and, in his own words, “not stay with a non-functional foot, but to have the option of having a prosthesis that allows me to dance again,” he said when he told his followers their decision.
Months later it was pointed out that, unfortunately, the young model's right foot could not be fully recovered either, but Álvarez's hard work in re-performing acts such as dancing, walking, climbing, swimming and even cycling caused her to recently report that her right foot “has begun to wake up”; who could not host the Challenge The Box 2.
Despite the fact that Daniella left the television project to concentrate on completely regaining the mobility of her lower right limb, the young woman still doesn't feel anything on her feet, which is why she didn't realize that she was hurting herself by demanding so much. As he revealed in his Instagram stories, blood stains on the sheets and the floor were what alerted him that something bad had happened on his foot.
He added that “the thing is that for several days I won't be able to walk until I start to heal.” The image shows the damage caused to the sole of the presenter's foot, which will cause her to be in a wheelchair for the next few days until the wound heals. This was evident in his most recent Instagram post, in which his partner appears with actor Daniel Arenas, and gives more details about what happened.
“Now I must be patient while skin comes out again (on a foot without sensitivity it is much slower). These days I will ride in a wheelchair without walking,” wrote the presenter.
He also noted that from this small ups and downs in his recovery process he also learned valuable lessons. Among these lessons she highlighted patience, since it is not easy for her. “It is a daily training for my mind to make it stronger and stronger in any circumstance, especially by putting it in the place that it should be: IN THE POSITIVE, in happiness, in love, in LIFE that is only one and has given me this second chance”.
She ended by thanking the Colombian actor for his support and love in this whole situation, because even though he won't be able to walk for now, he continues to plan outings with her. “These photos say it all, how fortunate to have a man who carries me without getting tired and who happily takes me for a walk,” he concluded.
