Now, after two months, the Uruguayan spoke about the possibility of returning to direct and ruled out being on a bench due to complications in his health.
“It's going to be difficult for me to lead again, we have to be aware that we are living in a borderline situation and that we can happily tell about it. But now, beyond the passion we feel, it will be difficult to have that adrenaline, perhaps we can take another path within it, but not with the obligations that I had, because we have to take care of ourselves to enjoy life,” he said exclusively for Ovación.
“I'm going to tell you something so you know. The last journalist I spoke to here in Peru was with you and what I am going to say to you is not going to believe me. When I rolled down the window (to give statements), I couldn't even speak, I was already infarcted, I already had a heart attack upstairs and I was up until the next day with the heart attack that took me to the clinic in the afternoon,” were his last words to a local media outlet.
Despite not being able to live that long-standing passion so close, he knows the bad situation that his last club is going through: Universitario. In addition, he took the opportunity to defend his compatriot Gutiérrez, who suffered a further defeat to Binacional last Sunday.
