Guayaquil (Ecuador), 19 Mar Mushuc Runa tied 1-1 at home this Saturday against Barcelona, managed to stop it, but did not take away the undefeated and lead by the fifth date of the first phase of the Ecuadorian championship. Barcelona scored with a free kick by Gabriel Cortéz, which outsmarted defenders, attackers and even goalkeeper Adonnis Preciado himself. The Uruguayan defender Carlos Rodríguez took advantage of a bad start with a dominated ball and Argentina's Santiago Giordana converted the draw. Barcelona remained the leader, with 13 points, Mushuc Runa came fourth, with 7 points, while Giordana accumulated the sixth goal this season, Cortéz follows him with five goals. After the goals, the teams slowed down the pace of play and, even though the technicians made changes, they failed to improve performance. Mushuc Runa won one less, since the 75th minute, due to the expulsion of the Argentine Gaspar Vega, who had entered 9 minutes earlier. Liga de Quito and the popular Aucas provided a great show and with a shower of goals they ended up tied 4-4. Aucas won until the 89th minute, with so many from Argentina's Victor Figueroa, Juan Tevez, Ecuadorians Richard Mina and Ronald Briones. Aucas surprised based on a simple, practical, fast and precise proposal led by midfielder Victor Figueroa. Liga reacted and surprised about the end, because in the recovery time it managed to save the draw with the two beautiful goals of Jefferson Arce, since the first two goals in the league were Alexander Alvarado, from penalties. The changes ordered by the Argentine coach Pablo Marini ended up saving the team, as Jefferson Arce entered in the 73rd minute to replace Joao Ortiz. The draw stopped Liga, which was left with 10 units, and Aucas accumulated 6. For his part, Cumbayá resorted to counterattack as the ideal argument to surprise the favorite, Técnico Universitario, who controlled the development of the match in a greater percentage, but lost by 2-0. Cumbayá, who is an absolute debutant in the First Division of Ecuador, won thanks to the goals of attackers Janpol Morales, from penalty, and Paraguayan Carlos Monges, so Cumbayá accumulated 7 points, and coach was left with 3. The fifth date will continue tomorrow, Sunday, with the matches: Emelec-Delfín; Macará-Guayaquil City; October-Gualaceo and will end next Monday with the match between Deportivo Cuenca and Universidad Católica.
