Three Colombians had action in the first Argentine superclassic of the year, for the League Cup. At Boca Juniors, Sebastián Villa and Frank Fabra — called up to the Colombia national team — started, while at River Plate Juan Fernando Quintero entered in the second half.

In the first part of the commitment played at the Antonio Vespucio Liberti Stadium (Monumental), the coffee grower who had the most work was Frank Fabra, with the mission of controlling Ezequiel Barco and Santiago Simón on the right wing. The Millionario was the one who worried the most in attack, specifically with three clear goal actions, two of them controlled by goalkeeper Agustín Rossi.

The first option was for Julián Álvarez, after a search for the small area; the second was Barco, with an unforceful shot controlled by the Xeneize's cerbero, and the third, the best, again from the Spider, who after an individual action shot at the left pole of the portico guarded by Rossi, who with his legs diverted the spherical.

Sebastián Villa, for his part, was incisive in the first minutes of the squad led by Sebastián Battaglia, partnering with Darío Benedetto, although later both disappeared from the radar, after the fierce mark of the cross-band club. Of course, Boca, contrary to his rival, did not generate any clear option to unbalance the score, not in the first half.

At the beginning of the second half, when the clock was barely eight minutes, the one who unbalanced was Villa, of loves and hates in 2021 with the blue and gold team. In the 8th minute, the Antioquian took advantage of a communication error between Franco Armani and Leandro González Pirez, to snatch the ball from them and send them to the back of the net. The question was like this: he beat the ball to the defender while he was looking to protect him with his body and the cancerbero was taken out, so that he had nothing to do with his shot.
