Brunella Torpoco announced that she is retiring from music definitively because of crime, since in recent months she has been extorted. An attack on her mother's house caused her to make the decision to abandon her music career.
The main reason for not continuing your dreams is to put your family safe. She published a statement on Instagram explaining that the presentations she has agreed will be the last ones she will give.
Before criminals arrive at her mother's house to leave her a series of threats, she lived a terrifying experience on March 15 after a shooting broke out during her concert.
Brunella Torpoco's father gave an interview for Prensa Callao, noting that this is not the first time they have tried to intimidate their daughter. She assured that she remains calm to give security to the singer, who is currently touring in the United States.
“I don't know how (your daughter) found out and called me. As my mommy says, I am her mother and I have already lived and enjoyed. I'm not afraid of death. It does make me uncomfortable for my daughter, but I know she will get out of it,” he said.
Brunella Torpoco's mother also announced that the police have just begun to guard her home after the second attack, as this is not the first time that a group of criminals has tried to charge her a 'quot'.
“My daughter works (...). After a long time these reprisals have returned. You can say that I fear for my life, but here I am. For those who want easy money, they're going to have to kill me,” he added.
GRANDMOTHER OF BRUNELLA TORPOCO PRONOUNCES
Brunella Torpoco's grandmother has witnessed the various attacks that the salsa singer has suffered. She indicated that her granddaughter is emerging from the bottom, so it seems unfair to her that they want to truncate their dreams in this way.
“There was a motorcycle outside, while up the block they were climbing on the fence when they started shooting. So, I came quickly and the boy got on the bike. They started pointing the gun at my son and my granddaughter. (...) My granddaughter is a girl who is emerging from the lowest with her effort and they are charging her places,” he said.
“They don't let her prove what she knows. With so much effort that she does, having bad nights, not eating. His concern is to go out, to emerge to help his family. Now they have threatened my daughter (Brunella's mother) and my granddaughter (Brunella). They said that when she comes back from the United States they're going to kill her. How is that? ”, he said.
