Madrid, 18 Mar Tickets for the bullring that Madrilenian right-hander José Tomás will fight alone on June 12 at the bullring in Jaén (Andalusia), in southern Spain, sold out last night just two hours after going on sale, according to a press release the company Tauroemoción, organizer of the celebration. At ten o'clock in the evening, Internet sales were opened for almost all of the 10,872 locations that have the capacity of the La Alameda arena, which tried to acquire “tens of thousands of people” not only from Spain but also from Portugal, France, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela and Mexico, among other countries. The official website through which the tickets were sold, “one of the most recognized in the cultural sector”, was literally overwhelmed by demand, so much so that its managers say that the traffic data recorded “is unprecedented in its history” and qualify as “unusual” such a massive request. The company Tauroemoción, for its part, regrets “the disappointment of many fans who have not been able to get tickets”, and that thousands have also found it very difficult to access payment for the previously mentioned seats, as some of those who tried to acquire the only six that could be purchased have told EFE per person. On that day, José Tomás will face four bulls from different farms in the Plaza de Jaén, as the only sword, in a celebration reduced by one third compared to the traditional six horns per bullfight and which in the shady lines reaches prices ranging from 190 euros for a barrier to 90 in the last rows. The company's press release concludes by congratulating itself on “having organized an event of this magnitude and attraction in the city of Jaén, with such a great impact and only comparable to major cultural and sporting events worldwide”.
