Lviv (Ukraine), 15 Mar Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelensky said today in a video message on his Telegram account that “the Russian army has lost more in Ukraine than in two bloody wars of years in Chechnya”. The Ukrainian president said that his country's forces are “inflicting devastating losses” on the Russian army since it invaded Ukraine on the orders of President Vladimir Putin on February 24. “Soon, the number of downed Russian helicopters will reach hundreds of units. They have already lost 80 fighter jets, hundreds of tanks, thousands of other equipment,” Zelenski added. He also described the work of the Ukrainian delegation in the talks with Russia as good, adding that these talks will continue on March 15, in what will be the fifth round of bilateral dialogue. Zelensky also proposed to Parliament (Rada) on Tuesday to extend martial law in Ukraine for another 30 days from March 26 through the approval of a bill, reports the Interfax-Ukraine agency. On February 24, following the Russian attack and the bombardment initiated by Russia on Ukrainian territory, the country's president imposed martial law for the first time.
