The Last King: Juan Osorio cried after seeing the premiere of Vicente Fernández's series

After the strong controversy that arose around Vicente Fernández's new bioseries entitled The Last King the Son of the People, producer Juan Osorio did not hold back tears and excitement after the premiere.

And it is that in recent days it was announced the possible demand that would stop the transmission on Televisa Univision of the series El Charro de Huentitán that would have been made without the permission of the singer's family.

However, the network decided not to “censor” this program and pledged to defend freedom of expression. Therefore, last Monday the first episode of the controversial series was released.

“Today, as we are one day away from its premiere on national television, a statement has emerged from a law firm and some press releases. Regarding them, we say: Don Vicente Fernández was always very close to Televisa and we will always keep our greatest appreciation and admiration for him. With him there were always talks aimed at making a bioseries, so much so, that in preparation for it we have the rights to more than twenty of his most important songs,” said the company's statement.

The information continues to add that for the San Ángel television station it has been a surprise the “negative” way in which the news of the “tribute” that was taken to it has been taken intends to carry out, ensuring that it is preferable for a Mexican company to be responsible for carrying out such work, rather than a foreign one.

The red carpet event was held at the Tonalá Cinema, located in the Roma neighborhood of Mexico City and access to the venue was quite private due to the delicate situation in which the show is currently.

The episode was broadcast at 8:30pm on the channel Las Estrellas and Juan Osorio, producer of the project, was happy with the result, also dedicated a few words to those present and delved into the fact that it had nothing to do with the problems.

“I have nothing to do with politics and judgments, I am a producer who is used to generating quality products, everything that comes from abroad does not interest me because the company will already be in charge of seeing with lawyers what should be done, at the end of the road we are doing an adaptation of the book which is a compilation of many notes”, he said.

Likewise, the media TVyNovelas announced that after the premiere, Juan Osorio was moved and cried with emotion when he saw the result, in addition, the producer delved into what could be considered “the project of his life”.

“It's a very special day for us. It is a watershed in our company, it shows that all Televisa producers are capable of doing a project like El último rey”, he said.

Osorio pointed out that this series had a value that went beyond production, because according to the famous man, the central axis of the product is to show the immensity of The Chente.

“We are talking about the story of an icon of the Mexican song, a charro who knows how to wear a suit, who knows how to ride and applaud his audience in a palenque. He gave us an example of what family is, what it is like to have aspirations, they are going to see a Vicente Fernández who shows everything that had to happen to be what he is today,” he added.
