Three men who shot and assaulted members of the Federal Police (PF) in 2012 were sentenced to 32 and 36 years in prison for the crimes of carrying a firearm, possession of cartridges for firearms for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces and for qualified homicide.
The defendants were arrested in July 2012 in Ciudad Lerdo, Durango, during a clash with elements of the extinct Federal Police. Both carried firearms for the exclusive use of the armed forces.

The conviction was handed down against the individuals identified as David “M” and Miguel “C” for the crimes of carrying a firearm and possession of cartridges for firearms for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces, as well as for the various crimes of homicide classified as attempted, for which they received 36 years of condemnation.
Juan “H”, for his part, was convicted of the same crimes, except for the first of those mentioned above, for which he received the sentence of 32 years in prison.

Both are inmates at the Federal Center for Social Readaptation #18 “CPS-Coahuila”; Miguel “C”, at the Federal Center for Social Readaptation #15 “CPS-Chiapas”.

On March 13, the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) extradition to the United States government three persons of Mexican nationality, required by different Superior Courts in compliance with the Extradition Treaty signed between Mexico and its neighbor to the north.
In the first criminal case, citizen Francisco Martinez is required by the Superior Court of the State of New Jersey, Atlantic County, because in 1994 he assaulted his girlfriend with a sharp weapon, causing serious injuries to the head, neck and heart. The woman, although she was taken to a nearby hospital, died from injuries caused by her partner.

Francisco Martínez is sought to be indicted for his probable responsibility in the crimes of homicide, possession of a weapon for illegal purposes and illegal possession of a weapon.

In the second case, Felix Manuel Gonzalez is requested by the Superior Court of the State of Arizona, Maricopa County, for the possible commission of the crimes of injury and homicide. In January 2012, he murdered a man after arguing with him during a meeting.
In a final case, Leticia Smith is sued by the Superior Court of the State of California, San Bernardino County, for her alleged responsibility for the crime of homicide. Presumably, Leticia murdered her husband with a firearm in May 2015.

The delivery of the three individuals was made at Mexico City International Airport (AICM) to US agents for final transfer.
