For the first time, São Paulo Open will take part of the WKF Premier League Karate1tour in May 30th and 31st 2015. Brazilian Karate Federation and Sao Paulo City willhost this great event and will offer the best conditions for all karate competitors.
The tournament will allow 400 athletes from 26 countries (Canada, Chile, DominicanRepublic, Colombia, Peru, USA, Malaysia, Iran, France, …) to test themselves on thetatami of São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo.
Several national delegations will go to Brazil to complete their preparation for thenext Toronto 2015 Pan American Games (23-25 July 2015).
Many of world top athletes, such as Douglas Brose (World male kumite -60kgChampion) and Breno Teixeira (World Junior kumite male -61kg champion) fromBrazil, Ana Josefa Villanueva (Dominican republic), Sanchez Jaime Sandra (Europeankata female Champion - Spain), Ygaci Serkan ( Turkey), Brian Ramrup (USA) willalso be present.
