ITTF Officially Open Marketing & Asia Pacific Headquarters

Following the hugely successful VOLKSWAGEN Women's World Cup the International Table Tennis Federation's new Marketing & Asia Pacific Headquarters was officially opened in Singapore.

With the ITTF President, Adham Sharara, present there was high media interest and many took the opportunity to interview him about the global game.

We want to be here for the long haul. That was the message Adam Sharara, president of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), had yesterday morning. The Canadian spoke at the official opening of ITTF's marketing and Asia Pacific headquarters at the Tanglin International Centre.

Singapore 'suited' to host world championships

The International Table Tennis Federation hopes Singapore will eventually be able to host either the World Team Championships or the World Championships. After the Republic's successful hosting of the Volkswagen Women's World Cup last weekend, ITTF president Adham Sharara believes that Singapore's superior efficiency and organisational know-how make it a good choice to host the major table-tennis event. He also hoped that once the Sports Hub is ready, they can discuss bringing the world championships here.
