Cerca de mil embarcaciones le darán la bienvenida a la antorcha en Francia

El desfile en el Mediterráneo será minutos antes del desembarco en el Puerto Viejo de Marsella; deberán cumplir ciertos requisitos y postularse para participar.

Una flota de hasta 1.024 naves enmarcará el miércoles 8 de mayo el arribo de la antorcha olímpica a Francia a través de Marsella, a bordo del velero Belém, según lo oficializó la Prefectura Marítima del Mediterráneo.

El desembarco de la flama se producirá en el Puerto Viejo de la ciudad luego de un desfile náutico en los puertos norte y sur. Al cabo del mismo, descrito por la organización como “magnífico y popular”, se realizarán múltiples actos que también serán abiertos al público general y transmitidos por streaming.

Tras el evento con tinte festivo que rondará las cinco horas, se dará luz al Relevo de la Antorcha por distintos puntos de Francia, en un trayecto de 80 días cuya conclusión la marcará el tradicional encendido del pebetero en París, el viernes 26 de julio.

Aquellos navieros y navegantes con vocación de participar en la jornada de bienvenida deberán inscribir a su embarcación en el sitio oficial “El desfile de la llama olímpica” hasta la tercera semana de abril, a sabiendas de que su barco o velero deberá satisfacer una serie de requisitos técnicos y estructurales.
