Awards show for the best of Beijing 2022 kicks off ANOC General Assembly

The top athletes and NOCs from the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics were recognized by the Association of National Olympic Committees

The best of the best were front and center in Seoul, South Korea Wednesday at the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) Awards 2022.

The event honored the top athletes from the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, with additional awards for the outstanding National Olympic Committee of Beijing 2022 and an award for individual contribution to the Olympic Movement.

The Best Male Team of Beijing 2022 went to Sweden’s Men’s Curling Team, while the Best Female Team was won by Canada’s Women’s Ice Hockey Team. Both of them took home the gold medal in Beijing.

The Best Mixed Team of Beijing 2022 was Nick Baumgartner and Lindsay Jacobellis. Best Male Athlete went to Daeheon Hwang and Best Female Athlete was Eileen Gu who won two golds and a silver in freestyle skiing.

Sven Kramer won Outstanding Athlete Performance while the Outstanding NOC of Beijing went to China.

Sir Craig Reedie was awarded for his Contribution to the Olympic Movement.

The awards were attended by more than 180 NOCs as well as Olympic Movement stakeholders, and was broadcast live on ANOC’s YouTube channel.
