The official Sochi 2014 clothing and footwear collection has now gone on sale and will be available all over the Russia in BOSCO shops at affordable prices. The collection includes spring and summer wear encompassing windbreakers, sweatshirts, tracksuits, polo shirts and accessories, all available in blue and orange colors.
The collection is inspired by the official designs of the Sochi 2014 Games, most notably the patchwork quilt. The collection has used Russian design styles to create colorful patterns on jackets and T-shirts.
A portion of the revenues from sales will go towards the preparation and staging of Russia's first Winter Games, as well as helping to support the environmental and educational programs. These programs aim to create a barrier-free environment, along with supporting the building of sports facilities and involving young people in sport activities and dozens of other initiatives that are being realized within the preparation of the Games.
The launch ceremony for the official collection was attended by Sochi 2014 Ambassadors; speed skater and winner of the Olympic Games, Ivan Skobrev; ice dancing Olympic champion, Tatyana Navka; legends of Russian sport, Vladislav Tretyak and Irina Rodnina, candidates to the 2014 Russian Olympic team as well as Sochi 2014 volunteers.
The launch of the official Sochi 2014 merchandise will mark another step in the progress of the Sochi 2014 Marketing Program, which has already generated over 1.2 billion dollars for the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee, becoming the most successful Marketing Program in the history of the Winter Games.
Dmitry Chernyshenko, President and CEO of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee, said:
"Russia’s Olympic fans will certainly stand out, catching people’s eye round the world with their bright, modern and unique sportswear! The official Sochi 2014 clothing range let all Russians feel even more a part of the Olympics, and will provide a stunning visual backdrop".
Mikhail Kusnirovich, Head of BOSCO Group, marked:
"Four years of athletes’ and fans’ lives are concentrated in just two weeks of the Olympiad. For some, the Olympics are all about reaching the peak of their sporting career; for others the focus can be on an incredibly emotional experience. It all becomes history very quickly, so people find different ways to capture the memories and pass them on, sometimes through words, sometimes through music. Another route is through Olympic memorabilia which can be kept for a lifetime: T-shirts and caps, polo shirts, rucksacks, tracksuits and windbreakers are all ways of keeping one’s memories alive!"
Ivan Skobrev, winner at the Games in Vancouver (2010), Sochi 2014 Ambassador: "Athletes without fire in their hearts will not win at the Olympic Games. The Sochi collection from BOSCO catches that same passion, the sense of aiming to win!"
Irina Slutskaya, winner at the Games in Salt Lake City (2002) and Turin (2006), Sochi 2014 Ambassador: "I want our Games to generate the most vivid memories for people and I'm sure that this colorful and festive collection will help it!"
Svetlana Khorkina, Olympic champion at the Games in Atlanta (1996) and Sydney (2000), winner at the Games in Athens (2004), Sochi 2014 Ambassador: "The Sochi 2014 collection turned out to be "tasty" and home-made, like the patchwork quilt. You can feel the warmth and comfort in it."

Look of the Games
The OLYMPIC PATCHWORK QUILT, designed by the creative BOSCO team and donated to the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee, has become the Look of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi. The team had the following objective: to convey with a visual image the vast abundance of feelings and sensations associated with such concepts as the Motherland, Family, Culture, Time, the Olympics, Peace, Nobility, Friends, Memory, Honor, Dreams, Beauty, Freedom, Pride, Warmth, Joy, Grandeur, Reliability, Victory, Creativity, Hospitality, Creativity, the Future, Russia, and the planet Earth.
In Russia, as elsewhere in the world, every country is proud of its identity. Therefore, there a variety of folk traditions, songs and crafts exist, emphasizing the individuality of their creators. Each of these individualities is good in itself and often self-dependent. Using this luxury of choice to display the diversity, we have proposed as a way of combining the image of such familiarity, kindness, warmth, richness, diversity, characteristics and just favorite things into a PATCHWORK QUILT. In developing the concept, each patch of material was filled with a variety of warm personal crafts from different regions of Russia: we have combined Uftyuzhskaya painting and Vologda lace, Gzhel and Zhostovo enamel, Kuban patterns and colors of Pavlov Posad shawls, Mezenskaya painting and Khokhloma, Yakutsk patterns, Ivanovo calico and other characteristic Russian patterns. We therefore have a totally original and modern Look for the Sochi Olympics.
