(ATR) The "vibrant" and "harmonic diversity of Brazil" will shape the look of the 2016 Olympics.

On Tuesday, Rio 2016 unveiled the look of the Games, featuring a multi-colored wave-like shape.

"The look is organic and engaging like an embrace, inspired by our lush nature and human warmth," Rio 2016 said in a statement. "It brings fluid and energetic features, like our art, our identity."

The design depicts the "crossing point of several cultural streamsthat circulate throughout Brazil, mingle, are reinvented and flow out to the city to the world," according to Rio 2016.

The look will adorn all sports facilities for the 2016 Games and brand tickets, uniforms, credentials, licensed products, and stores.

Rio 2016 brand director Beth Lula said in a statement, "The starting point for the Look scenario was the Rio 2016 brands, the essence of passion and transformation, values and attributes."

Rio 2016 also said icons representing the four cities staging Olympic football competitions--Belo Horizonte, Sao Paulo, Brasília, and Salvador--will be incorporated into the look of the Games.
