Soccerex

Soccerex announced a new venue for the African Forum.

The forum will not take place inMoses Mabhida stadium in Durban. Moses Mabhida stadium will provide the forum with a larger exhibition space to accommodate a larger crowd.

The stadium hosted seven matches during the 2010 World Cup, including the Semi-final between Spain and Germany.

The president of the Ghana Football Association, and CAF executive board member, Kwesi Nyantakyi will speak at the event. Nyantakyi also guided the Ghananian U-20 side to victory at the 2009 U-20 World Cup.

Protais Mitali, the Minister of Sport and culture from Rwanda has been confirmed as a speaker. He will speak on the "Sport and Government" panel about Rwanda's preparations for the fourth edition of African Nations Championship in 2016.

Soccerex’s Global Convention is slated for Nov. 23-27 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The convention will feature over 4,500 of football’s most senior decision-makers and "will be the culmination of four years of business development ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games".

SPORTELAsia

SPORTEL announced the location for its spring 2014 location: Shanghai, China.

The conference will take on March 3-5, 2014 in the Kerry Hotel Pudong, which boasts the largest hotel sports and recreational facilities in Shanghai.

SPORTELAsia will explore Asia’s sports media market, and will provide a space for international exhibitors to meet and discuss business.

SPONSORS Sport Venue Summit

The venue and dates for the 2013 SPONSORS Sport Venue Summit have been announced.

The conference will take place on September 18-19th in Hamburg, Germany.

Themes for the conference include the costs and venues for the Pan-European 2020 EURO Championships, the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, and the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

FIFA Director of Communications Walter de Gregorio, DFB Secretary-General Helmut Sandrock, and Alpaslan Ertekin from the Istanbul Olympic Games Preparation and Organisation Committee have been confirmed to speak at the event.

SportAccord to Turkey

Belek, Turkey will host the 2014 SportAccord Convention.

The venue of choice is Susesi Resort in the Antalya region, one of the largest and most modern congress centers in the Mediterranean.

"We are proud to be able to provide a superb location for SportAccord Convention in Belek/Antalya next year," said IOC member, World Archery Federation president and National Olympic Committee of Turkey president Uğur Erdener, who will also head the Local Organizing Committee for the occasion.

"Not only are the facilities excellent, the great natural beauty of the coastal setting will ensure that the first SportAccord Convention in Turkey will be a very enjoyable one."

Belek hosted the Turkish Airlines World Golf Final last year and will stage the Turkish Airlines Ladies Golf Open this year along with the 2013 World Archery Championships.

"Our event in Belek/Antalya next year will enjoy the advantage of having a top-flight congress centre adjoining the main Convention hotel," said Nis Hatt, Managing Director of SportAccord Convention.
