(ATR) A new wave of incorrect reporting about 2014 bids from Austria maintains that Salzburg and Innsbruck are proposing a joint bid for the Games, but such is not the case, sources in Austria confirm to Around the Rings.Com.

The Austrian Olympic Committee will meet on December 15 to consider which of the two cities to propose for a 2014 candidacy.

Salzburg, an ignominious third-place finisher in the 2010 contest, hopes the experience will lead to a better bid. And while Innsbruck, the 1976 host, has some of the worldâ??s most famous ski slopes, the village may lack enough transport and accommodations to host 21st century Winter Games.
