(ATR) Los Angeles 2028 welcomes a Vice President of Communications and Public Relations to the team.
Lauren Lamkin joined LA 2028 this week from Adidas North America, where she was Vice President of Corporate Communications and Culture.
Lamkin, who lives in greater Los Angeles with her family, will be taking the lead on strategic communications and media relations for LA 2028.
During her eight years with Adidas, Lamkin’s duties included taking the lead in corporate positioning, external and internal communications and the company’s social purpose strategy.
Prior to her work at Adidas, Lamkin worked at two global public relations firms including Hill + Knowlton where she served as the primary strategic advisor for Adidas and Chelsea Football Club.
The United States Olympic Committee is pleased with Lamkin’s appointment, with spokesperson Patrick Sandusky telling Around the Rings "We are excited to have Lauren join the LA 2028 team, she is a world class communicator who will no doubt be a great asset to their organization and a great partner to Team USA."
Lamkin’s appointment is the latest move for Los Angeles organizers in their transition from winning the 2028 bid to preparing the city to host the Games in less than 10 years.
