In 2021, the delivery of various bonds began and these were given in order to enable Peruvian families to cope with the economic crisis due to the pandemic, political and social instability. One of the economic subsidies enabled by the Peruvian Government is the ONP Bond. Learn how you can access it and if you can still cash it out.
This benefit began delivery in 2021 and probably many people did not know about it, but first we will make it clear who the beneficiaries are.
BONO ONP
This allowance is aimed at pensioners with retirement, disability for work and beneficiaries (widowhood, orphan's and ancestry) of Decree-Law No. 19990 and the Special Fisheries Regime regulated by Law No. 30003. The condition is that they have reached the pension definitively until November 30, 2021.
Please note that if the beneficiary receives more than one pension, then only an extraordinary bonus will be granted to him.
CAN I STILL CASH IT?
The answer is yes, and there is no deadline for collection, whether total or partial, and this is because the 930 soles are credited to the same account of the retiree. Therefore, the disposition of this amount will be permanent and may be disbursed at the discretion of the owner of the retirement account.

ONP RECOGNITION BONUS
This is another bonus, but you must take into account the requirements to access it. One of them is to be clear that AFP is the only entity responsible for processing this bond, as well as sending new information to ONP or additional support for the contribution to it.
WHO ARE BENEFICIARIES?
Those who initially belonged to the National Pension System and who are affiliated to an AFP (Habitat, Profuturo, Integra and Prima) can apply for the Recognition Bonus.
HOW MANY BONUSES ARE THERE AND WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
There are four types of recognition bonuses, each with different requirements.
- 1992 bond: have been affiliated to the National Pension System prior to 6 December 1992 and have already been registered in the Private Pension System (SPP). That you have made contributions to the National Pension System (SNP) for a minimum of 48 months within the 10 years prior to 06/12/82 and 05/12/92.
- 1996 bond: having been affiliated to the National Pension System and then to the Private System from 06/11/96 to 31/12/97. Be a contributor for a minimum of 48 months within the previous 10 years between 01/01/87 and 31/12/96.
- 2001 Bond: workers who have been affiliated to the National Pension System and then made the transfer to the Private Pension System. That the contribution to the SNO has been made at least 48 months within the previous 10 years between 01/01/1992 and 31/12/2001.
- Bond 20530: according to Art. 9 of Legislative Decree 817, the Law on the Pension Regime in charge of the State is the responsibility of the members of that scheme who have joined the SPP as of April 24, 1996.
HOW MUCH MONEY CAN I COLLECT?
The maximum amount to be paid for the three types of bonus is 60 thousand Nuevos Soles. The value of the bonds is nominal, that is, it is not updated according to inflation.
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE ONP RECOGNITION BONUS?
There are two types of applications that interested parties can submit:
- Ordinary application: as of the date of submission, the applicant is not yet of retirement age (65 years).
- Simultaneous application: the applicant is of retirement age or older. Also included are those who have died or declared a total permanent invalid or are taking early retirement.
