This Friday, April 22, 2022, the Hoy No Circula program will maintain the traffic restriction for vehicles with plates 9 and 0 finish, blue rubber.

These restrictions take effect from 05:00 on Friday and until 22:00 hours in the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico, in accordance with the regulations endorsed by the Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis (CAme).

In this regard, they will have to be stationed from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the 16 mayors that make up Mexico City and only 18 municipalities in the State of Mexico (Atizapán de Zaragoza, Coacalco de Berriozábal, Cuautitlán, Cuautitlán Izcalli, Chalco, Chicoloapan, Chimalhuacán, Ecatepec de Morelos, Huixquilululi Can, Ixtapaluca, La Paz , Naucalpan de Juárez, Nezahualcoyotl, Nicolás Romero, Tecámac, Tlalnepantla de Baz, Tultitlán and Chalco Valley).

Cars with double zero, zero, electric and hybrid hologram are exempt from the program.

Mobile sources or vehicles registered abroad or States other than Mexico City and the State of Mexico, or which do not carry the verification hologram, are limited to circulation on weekdays and every Saturday regardless of their last numeric digit, from 05:00 to 22:00; as well as, in a morning hours from Monday to Friday from 05:00 to 11:00.

The No Circulation Today Program does not apply to cars with disability license plates, emergency and funeral services, as well as public transportation.

The Hoy No Circula program does not apply only from Monday to Friday, it also applies to weekends, particularly on Saturdays.

Named Hoy No Circula Sabatino, the application of this program is somewhat different from that used during the week. Whether a car drives on a Saturday in the Valley of Mexico depends on its hologram and the completion of its license plate.

Cars with hologram 1 and whose last number on the plate is odd, will not be allowed to circulate on the first and third Saturday of each month.

While cars with hologram 1 and with the last digit of the license plate even, will not have the opportunity to drive on the second and fourth Saturday of the month.

Meanwhile, cars with hologram 2, as well as foreigners, will not have the opportunity to drive any Saturday regardless of the color of the sticker or finish of the plate.

If a month were to have a fifth Saturday, that day the restriction will reach cars with hologram 2, foreign and with permits. In the same scenario, the rest of the vehicles, including those with hologram 1, are completely exempt from Hoy No Circula Sabatino.

As with weekdays, cars with double zero, zero, electric and hybrid hologram do not participate in the program.

In this link you can check the full calendar of Hoy No Circula both weekdays and weekends.

Hoy No Circula Sabatino applies with the same restrictions as during the week, from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the 16 mayors of Mexico City and in 18 conurbated municipalities of the State of Mexico.

It should be mentioned that the only day on which Hoy No Circula does not apply to any car is Sunday, that day is excluded from all kinds of restrictions.

The environmental authority shall issue a notice suspending the application of Today No Circulation, on holidays, non-working days, mandatory rest days or in holiday seasons, taking into account that air quality does not create a risk to the health of the population, which will be determined by an analysis of the conditions climatological, air quality monitoring and pollutant emission concentration in the Federal District or Megalopolitan Zone.

Cars and drivers driving on Mexico City roads and streets that violate the measures provided for in this Program, will be entitled to the sanctions established in the Regulations of the Environmental Law of Mexico City on Vehicle Verification; as well as, in the Metropolitan Traffic Regulations or to replace it and other applicable provisions, without prejudice to their being removed from circulation and sent to the vehicle warehouse, where they must remain until the corresponding fine is paid and in the case of vehicles stopped during Environmental Contingency, it will also be necessary to wait for it to end.

In both Mexico City and the State of Mexico, vehicles have to be checked twice a year and the date to do so depends on the finish of the plates and the rubberization. This is the verification schedule for the two semesters of 2022:
