Although he hasn't released new record material for five years, Luis Miguel hasn't lost his status as a Latin music superstar and every step he takes is followed by millions of fans across the continent.

Although his followers have long yearned for unreleased songs from El sol de México, it seems that for now they have settled for the wide catalog that the singer has managed to consolidate over four decades of career.

The fact that he has been wearing five years without surprising his followers, after the release of Mexico on the skin, a 2017 album with which he paid tribute to the country that gave him international fame, has not meant that his followers have stopped listening to his music, especially with the release of the aforementioned Netflix series, thanks to which multiple songs by the artist were again featured on the digital charts.

On this occasion, the Latin star released a new record that relates him to the music platform Spotify, an application in which his entire catalog with albums released since he was a child is found.

In this way, Luis Miguel has become the first Latin American singer to have more songs that exceed one million views on this musical platform. With 266 songs surpassing this mark, the singer endorses his place as one of today's top stars.

In the list of songs most listened to by the singer are: Now you can leave, with more than 378 million streams; The Unconditional, with more than 318 million; Until You Forget Me, with more than 233 million; Guilty or not, more than 221 million; and La media vuelta, with more than 170 million views.

Thus, the singer continues to make history in the music industry, so his followers immediately proceeded to congratulate him and trended his name. This is not the first time that Luis Miguel has imposed a historic brand on Spotify, as he recently announced that he became the first Mexican to exceed five billion views on the app.

Now that Luis Miguel turned 40 years of his career, he has stayed away from the spotlight, however it has transpired that the singer is preparing a new record material that will contain unreleased songs and new versions with some of his most emblematic songs from the 80s.

During the morning of last Friday, January 21, Luismi went viral after she modified the main photo she had on her Instagram, Twitter and Facebook profiles. The Puerto Rican interpreter did not give details about it, but he drew attention that he made the gesture in the framework of his 40th anniversary as an artist.
