The president of Sporting Cristal, Joel Raffo, announced the process and motivations that led to the hiring of footballer Yoshimar Yotún. In addition, he referred to the club's policy of selling players.
Yoshimar Yotún returned to the celestial club on March 7 after leaving Cruz Azul in Mexico and in free condition. The director 'brewer' provided details about the brand new signing that at the time attracted the utmost attention from fans.
“It is undoubtedly a great pleasure to have Yoshimar back home. It goes beyond the economic issue, it is linked above all to the fact that we were able to transmit to it 'look at our project, look at the commitment we have, see what is involved. ' There the other party (Yotún) understands where we are aiming, the vision that exists: 'I want to be there',” Raffo explained in statements to the press of the Cristal TV club.
Then, he did not hesitate to say that the hiring of a player from the Peruvian national team and so beloved by the club represents an achievement for the management of the board.
“We got that in a short time and it was critical for us to finally get 'Yoshi' back with us. Really for the institution and the entire professional team it is a great joy”, he said.
At another time, Joel Raffo was asked about the feelings of the team's fans regarding the sale of players. On the subject, he rejected that it is a priority and explained the institution's guidelines for the transfer of footballers.
“The acts speak for themselves. The reality is that we have not had sales abroad that have not occurred due to natural events or even personal motivations of the players themselves and their surroundings,” argued the president of the celeste club.
On the contrary, Raffo elaborated on his explanation and mentioned the actions taken to strengthen the base of players in minors, their growth and eventual promotion to the first team of the club that has led them in some cases to be called up to the Peruvian national team.
“Rather, we have taken care of and maintained a base since we arrived, promoting the training structure that so many resources, time and professionals dedicated day by day to that, promoting so that they can carry the first team so that they can grow as professionals and human beings being on a professional football team. To the point that they have been called up to the national team at such a young age. We seek balance in the squad, that the model is sustained, that the wheel continues to spin, that they contribute competitively, that they grow and as a result if they generate an attraction in the international market so that they continue to grow and then return to the club as Yotún or return to the national team more prepared. That is also a responsibility because we have a commitment to our country,” he concluded.
