Ombudsman asks Indecopi to supervise “Hablando Huev...” show after mockery against people with Down syndrome

The Ombudsman's Office again commented on the show by drivers Jorge Luna and Ricardo Mendoza after their misplaced comments against people with Down syndrome.

Guardar

The Office of the Ombudsman sent a letter to the National Institute for the Defence of Competition and the Protection of Property Intelectual (Indecopi), requesting that the program “Hablando Huevadas” be prosecuted, after comedians Jorge Luna and Ricardo Mendoza issued discriminatory comments against people with Down syndrome.

In addition, in carrying out its duties, the ombudsman's office also sent a document to the Municipality of Miraflores to investigate the discriminatory act in the district, since the show was recorded in a Canout theater, located in that jurisdiction.

“It should be noted that actions and expressions that violate the rights of persons with disabilities and, in particular, the rights of persons with Down Syndrome, are also considered as a type of psychological and moral violence, since they violate their dignity and promote their exclusion and discrimination”, said the institution with regard to the misplaced expressions of presenters Ricardo Mendoza and Jorge Luna.

FUTSAL DOWN TEAM CAPTAIN RESPONDS

The captain of the Peruvian Futsal Down National Team, Edgard Gómez, also commented on the mockery issued by Jorge Luna and Ricardo Mendoza, who preferred to downplay these comments and assured that the national team is focused only on the 2022 Futsal Down World Cup.

“What matters most to us is to keep focusing on sports and, at the same time, ignoring those people who talk like that. We are only focused on our work, what others say we are not going to give importance to it, because we know what we are worth,” he said in a dialogue with Exitosa.

In the same context, they told details of their participation in the Peruvian Futsal Down National Team and in the last world competition held at the Videna velodrome, where they managed to win sixth place. Given this, they did not hesitate to ask the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD) not to stop supporting them so that the team continues to train normally at the sports venue.

BACKGROUND

A few months ago, driver Ricardo Mendoza and Norka Gaspar were the target of criticism, after they minimized and mocked the case of a minor who had been sexually harassed inside a public transport bus or, far from condemning these acts of violence against women, they joked with him testimony.

In addition, Ricardo Mendoza also told another story about a deaf and dumb person who, obviously, could not tell what was happening to him in a burlesque tone full of mockery.

Before this controversy, these comedians were criticized for attacking the daughter of influencer Melissa Paredes, after the former model's affair with dancer Anthony Aranda became known.

“They call Melissa's daughter 'a girl raised by animals'. Because his dad is a cat and his mom is tremendous...” , Ricardo Mendoza told the public, unleashing the laughter of all the show's attendees.

As you can see, this is not the first time that Jorge Luna and Ricardo Mendoza have had these unwise comments, full of machismo and mockery hiding themselves in a show where they “speak eggs...”, which is why on more than one occasion various groups and even the Ministry of Women have spoken about the behavior of both subjects.
