Andrés Hurtado recalled that a few weeks ago he met with Pedro Castillo at the Government Palace to talk about children who suffer from cancer and do not have the financial resources to treatment. The television host expressed his annoyance when he learned that he had been criticized on Twitter for talking with the president for several hours.
The Saturday driver with Andrés highlighted that his program is dedicated to providing social assistance to the most needy in the country, so he is only focused on helping people with low income, downplaying the social crisis that Peru is experiencing.
“Understand country, an injection costs 14,000 soles to live 30 days (many of the sick children) that is, the next month they die. That's what I went to talk to the president,” said the TV host quite annoyed.
In that regard, Andrés Hurtado mentioned that he could not believe that there were people who had harshly criticized him for having talked with the president for hours in order to get the medicine that children need.
“They told me you stayed three hours and 15 minutes did you talk so much? And you on Wednesdays care what I talk about, what I don't talk about,” said the TV host during the airing of his last program.
In addition, Andrés Hurtado regretted that the purchase of medicines needed by children with cancer did not finally materialize due to the political problems faced by President Castillo due to mass demonstrations against him.
“I'm waiting for all this problem to happen, because I don't give a damn about the president's problems with the country. Excuse me that is not my subject, my theme is them (the little ones), let them not die”, he added.
Let's remember that Andrés Hurtado, weeks ago, had said that during his meeting with Pedro Castillo he managed to be heard and the president was preparing a speech to address the issue of childhood cancer, but this important announcement would do so after settling his clashes with Congress.
