Rodrigo González and Gigi Mitre: The Before and After of the Drivers of Amor y Fuego

Rodrigo González and Gigi Mitre have become one of the most beloved pairs of hosts by all Peruvian viewers, as they have been both appearing from Monday to Friday on the screens of the television to entertain families with their show program.

Although they did not start hosting together the remembered “Amor, Amor, Amor” on Latina Televisión, the arrival of the television presenter in 2013 managed to make the perfect duet with the journalist. After the end of the show show program, they started with God God! and subsequently resigned from the San Felipe Canal. Currently, they show off in Amor y Fuego on Willax Television.

RODRIGO GONZALEZ

Not many remember that Rodrigo González Lupis, before being the official host of “Amor Amor Amor”, did his first internship on the 1997 program Magaly TeVe where his nickname 'Peluchín' was born. However, his television career began in the magazine Hola a Todos de ATV in 2009 with a show segment called 'Peluchismes', thus consolidating his nickname.

In May 2010, he was awarded the hosting of one of the most popular national show programs on Peruvian television broadcast on Latina Televisión with Janine Leal. He then shared the role with Sofía Franco, Carla Barzotti and from 2013 to 2017 with Gigi Mitre.

Among his popularity, he participated as a jury in the program “Yo Soy Kids” in 2014 with Maria Pía Copello and Maricarmen Marin. The communicator, now 42 years old, was characterized by always showing off his voluptuous beard and a personal style when it came to dressing.

After resigning from Latina Televisión, Rodrigo González dedicated himself to boosting his social networks by sharing content from the figures of the Peruvian show that the so-called 'Rodriguistas' sent him, this kept him connected with his followers until 2020 when he announced his return to the small screen.

Nowadays, he has become one of the most influential drivers, as some of his comments tend to take over the front pages of the media.

GIGI MITRE

Last March 2022, a video by Gigi Mitre went viral on TikTok after a small fragment was broadcast where she appeared on Raúl's show Romero, 'Habacilar', many years ago. The driver was in the front row of the audience with wide glasses on her face and a long white t-shirt next to a jacket and jeans.

However, in his early days on television in 2099 he stopped wearing them, changing his appearance and style when dressing. Giselle Helwe Mitri Giha, known as Gigi Mitre, achieved notoriety in the program “Hello everyone” by hosting the shows section. His time at ATV culminated in 2012 and soon after he moved to Latina Televisión with his friend Rodrigo González.

The 49-year-old radio broadcaster also started as a temporary replacement for Sofía Franco, but everything seems to indicate that she managed to win the love of the public since a month later she was appointed official host. It took 7 years for her to decide to resign from the San Felipe channel due to disagreements with management, and then see her again on Willax Televisión.
