Transmilenio's exclusive lane on Highway with Calle 100 will be closed for a month

In addition, the Ministry of Mobility confirmed that the peak and plate measurement in Bogotá for private vehicles will continue to operate this week from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

For the continuation of the works on the Transmilenio trunk for race 68, the Ministry of Mobility of Bogotá announced closures on the exclusive roadway where the South-North articulations of the North Highway with Calle 100 pass. The measure will take effect from Monday, April 4, from 4:30 a.m. and will run for almost a month.

Transmilenio announced that the operation of the 100th Street station will not be affected and will continue its normal operation. However, there will be other effects, so the authorities indicated that the following alternate routes are enabled:

- For people travelling in a South-North direction on the North Highway, they may take the avenue carrera 19 al Norte as an alternate route.

- Users traveling in the North-South direction may take 116th Street to Occidente Avenue and Suba al Sur Avenue.

The following recommendations were also issued:

- It is recommended that cyclists and pedestrians travel through the areas designated for them, as well as to make crossings at intersections and sites designated for this purpose.

- It is recommended that all users in the sector take this information into account and travel with caution following the signs so that they can make their usual routes without any problems.

- Drivers are advised to walk with caution and follow the signs provided in the area of influence of the Traffic Management Plan (PMT).

- Pedestrians, cyclists and drivers are advised to attend to the site signs, as well as the instructions and recommendations of traffic assistants and personnel responsible for such work activity.

- It is recommended that users of the public transport service carry out the ascent and descent of buses in the established whereabouts.

It should be noted that, in addition to the closure of the Transmilenio trunk, the Ministry of Mobility confirmed that the peak and plate measurement in Bogotá for private vehicles will continue to operate this week from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., according to the digit of the license plate. On even-numbered days, vehicles with license plates ending in 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 cannot be driven; on odd days, vehicles with license plates ending in 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 cannot be moved.

Monday 4: The restriction applies to plates finished in 0,2,4,6 and 8

Tuesday 5: The restriction applies to plates finished at 1,3,5,7 and 9

Wednesday 6: The restriction applies to plates finished at 0,2,4,6 and 8

Thursday 7: The restriction applies to plates finished in 1,3,5,7 and 9

Friday 8: The restriction applies to plates finished in 0,2,4,6 and 8

It is important to note that the peak and plate measurement does not apply on Saturdays or Sundays for private cars.

However, on holidays the Regional Pico y Placa operates. As stipulated, from 12:00 noon onwards vehicles with even license plates are allowed into Bogotá until 4:00 p.m. and then from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. vehicles with odd license plates are allowed to enter Bogotá.
