Carolina Gomez's departure from the 'MasterChef Celebrity' kitchens was a very hard blow for celebrities, as she was one of the most beloved and skillful contestants in the competition; however, a slight health problem and a dish that the chefs considered “simple” for an elimination challenge, marked her exit.

But beyond his farewell, the contest continued with a higher level of demand than in previous days and this was how it was seen on Sunday night when a new challenge of 'The Mystery Box' was held. There, each of the cooks came across a lot of land and, in the middle of it, potatoes.

It was at that point that they realized that there are many varieties of this tuber, not only the pastusa and the creole, the most common in the country. Each one took a different species and, with that, they realized that, on Sunday night, their dishes should have potatoes as their main ingredient.

It was an individual challenge and to execute it they had 60 minutes. While Chicho Arias joked that he was going to prepare a changua, Estiwar G was clear about his dish and began to make patties from rib broth, due to the high content of potatoes it has. Aida Bossa, on the other hand, almost had a hard time at the end of the challenge, because the potatoes almost stayed in the oven, and Tatán was surprised by the purple color that the tuber released after frying it until it was crispy.

Once the dishes were ready, the first to go to the lectern was Christina, who had to prepare a breakfast dish. He presented 'Good Morning, Eva', in honor of a niece of his who, every time she, is always having breakfast. The three jurors gave him good comments, and so far it was the best dish of the test, whose evaluation was just beginning.

The next to be examined was Chicho, who made some 'Vatican empanadas', but Nicolás de Zubiria did not save anything and said he expected a more complex preparation, a concept shared by both Chris Carpentier and Jorge Rausch, who did not mention any words.

Isabella did not receive similar comments, but she was criticized for presenting a dish with raw potatoes; but Nicolás wanted to see “the glass half full” and highlighted the textures of the Venezuelan's creation. In contrast, Tatán exhibited 'Until Tomorrow, My Love', a dish that was dedicated to his wife, Maleja Restrepo. His creativity reappeared after many challenges and showed a tower of potato slices and a tartar on a base of cubes made with the same food.

“This is your best dish in the competition,” Nicolas said, and Rausch grabbed his cheek in approval.

The juries only evaluated those dishes and, by unanimous decision, the motorcyclist was the big winner, generating positive reactions, starting with Estiwar G, who claimed that his partner is “like the Phoenix” by resurfacing after a complex elimination challenge in which he was on the tightrope.

Finally, he complained briefly when he learned that the challenge did not give him immunity pin, but Claudia Bahamón reminded him that this victory could mean an advantage later on. What will it be about?
