The director of the National Electoral Institute (INE), Ciro Murayama Rendón, and the Movimiento party Regeneration Nacional (Morena) clashed on Twitter following the official's participation in Brozo's program.

Through his social network, Murayama Rendón shared a photo with Víctor Trujillo, in his role as the clown Brozo, with which he invited netizens to listen to the interview that took place.

In the message, and without giving names or parties, the electoral counselor joked that their participation could be uncomfortable for those seeking “submission and obedience.”

The publication caught the attention of the cherry party, who shared the tweet and wrote that submission and obedience is something that characterizes the Electoral Institute.

He also recalled that the duty of an electoral counsellor is to ensure impartiality in democracy, and if he is unable to do so, he called on the official to resign and join a political party.

“The PRI (Institutional Revolutionary Party), the PAN (National Action Party), the PRD (Party of the Democratic Revolution) or the MC (Citizen Movement), the one he likes best,” he said on the social network.

Only a few minutes passed for Ciro Murayama to respond to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador's (AMLO) party. In the tweet, addressed to the driver Brozo, the counselor mocked that “someone in power already caught upthat they talked about. “And he didn't even hear us,” he added.

To which Regeneración Nacional responded that unlike the INE, the current administration does not “calm” freedom of expression.

The official soon answered, noting that it is not very wise for a political party to broadcast a talk show. However, he explained that this is not illegal, so Morena's publicity is “welcome” to his interview. “Thank you very much, gentlemen,” he said.

For his part, Brozo continued the joke of Murayama Rendón, and ironized that during his talk they dedicated themselves to planning the “feast” with which they celebrated the electoral counselor's birthday. “By the way, have a good time, counselor,” he added.

It should be noted that the electoral director has been very active on his social networks due to the Mandate Revocation consultation, since on several occasions he has come out in defense of the electoral body in the face of criticism from Morena and her allies.

On March 30, Murayama denied that the INE hides boxes to participate in the consultation, since public schools, parks and public offices are not located in “clandestine places”.

In the image, the official explained that 92% of the four thousand 810 squares that will be installed will be in the same place as in the 2021 popular consultation, while 82% will be found where they were in the elections of June 6 last year.
