Colombians cut Claudia López and Jorge Iván Ospina in a new Invamer poll; Daniel Quintero and Jaime Pumarejo improved

The pollster consulted the perception of citizens about their presidents; the mayor of Bucaramanga was among the lowest-rated, as was the governor of Santander

In the midst of the electoral campaign, during the economic recovery after the pandemic, and in the midst of a tense political environment, Colombians issued pronouncements on the mayors of Colombia's main cities and several of them, again, cracked in popularity.

This was announced in the most recent survey by the firm Invamer, in which it was evidenced that the mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, has recorded one of the worst moments in terms of her image since managing the capital. According to the study, their disfavorability reaches 66% (and their favorability stood at 29%).

For his part, another one who is not recovering is the mayor of Cali, Jorge Iván Ospina. The president of the capital of Valle del Cauca did not do well, again, with 72% disfavorability and 21% favorability.

Then there is Juan Carlos Cárdenas, current president of Bucaramanga (in Santander), who was slashed by more than fifty percent of interviewees: 56% in disapproval and 36% in approval.

The burgomasters who do not leave the 'good streaks' are the mayor of the Barranquilleros, who is part of the Char clan, Jaime Pumarejo. On this occasion, the president achieved 60% favorability and 35% unfavorability.

Daniel Quintero, in Medellin, didn't do badly either. The latter received a five-point increase in its favorability: it went from 43% in February to 48% in March. Along these lines, their disfavorability rose from 48% last month to 44% in this month.

This survey did not measure the mayor of the capital of Bolivar, Cartagena, who has been governed since 2020 by William Dau. However, Invamer did report the results obtained for some of the departmental governors.

The governor of Valle del Cauca, Clara Luz Roldán, increased in disfavorability with 49%, while her favorability reached 41%.

For her part, Governor Elsa Noguera, leader of the Atlantic, achieved 61% favorability and 33% disfavorability.

With a disadvantaged 68%, one of the worst fared is the governor of the department of Santander, Mauricio Aguilar. The brother of former imprisoned senator Richard Aguilar received a meager 22% favorability.

The survey also evaluated the directors of major entities and corporations in the Colombian State. For his part, President Iván Duque remains in the highest disapproval of his mandate with 73%. What's more, 84% of respondents believe that things in Colombia are getting worse. That's how it went for the other chiefs of the days.
