Elianis Garrido responded to criticism for his appearance: “I like myself more and more”

Nowadays, although it should not be so, criticisms about people's appearance are still heard here and there regardless of the medium or place: Criticism is heard at work, home, school, media, social networks and the list could be widely followed.

Now, speaking specifically of figures in the national entertainment industry, several of them have noticed their annoyance at comments of this style around their image, others also deliver thoughtful words to their audience to try to raise awareness about it. Now, for example, Elianis Garrido put the topic on the table to speak from his own experience.

Then, last Sunday, March 27, the presenter posted a video on her Instagram in which she is seen parading down a street, in turn, with the running of the images the song 'Pasarela' sounds, which Daddy Yankee released in 2012. Garrido did not publish his video alone, he also wrote in the caption the following:

“It's not the size, nor your height, nor the look you wear, nor the features, nor what will say what defines you! Today I woke up with many cute messages and I thank them with love... but also with many disparaging comments, disguised as “constructive criticism” and unnecessary such as: “I saw you yesterday, you are too skinny”, “You are obsessed with the gym”, “You are losing your femininity”, “Where is the body you had”. Some people like they haven't seen me for 10 years I think because they have my physical image of the reality show that happened 10 years ago!”

Here it is worth clarifying two things, first, the actress was also at the Barranquilla Carnival, the event takes place on March 26, 27, 28 and 29. Second, the reality television program he refers to is 'Protagonistas de Nuestra Tele' (2012) in which he developed as a participant.

Now, back to the text she published, the words of the barranquillera did not end with what has already been mentioned, since she also commented that she does not want to please anyone and realized how satisfied she is with herself.

“I have long been getting rid of the desire to please outside opinions all the time. I live with love, from love and without hurting anyone. And, I like it more and more. It's not even about ego, but it's about prioritizing what I feel and what I believe in over what others want, who don't own our lives. It's my body, it's my eyebrows, it's my hair, it's my tastes, it's my decisions, my space, my actions, my life.”

On the other hand, because of this same theme of Colombian celebrities who have come out in defense of their appearance in the face of the multiple comments of the detractors, there is Luly Bossa, who also during this weekend spoke about her cellulite and the criticism generated by having her in view of her being a woman who exercises.
