Next Tuesday, March 29, the deadline for changing the voting station or registering the respective ballot papers to participate in the 2022 presidential elections will end. The elections will be held on May 29.

Citizens who must complete the ID registration process are those who recently changed their place of residence, be it neighborhood, city, department or even country. It also applies to persons whose identification document was first issued before 1988 and is not yet registered, and who have not voted in any of the elections held in the last 30 years because they are not part of the current electoral roll.

The National Civil Status Registry (RNEC) assured that people who change their voting position will be able to consult their new position from April 29, through the entity's website.

Those who changed their voting positions to participate in the elections to the Congress of the Republic on March 13 should not re-register their ballot papers. However, if they wish, they can update their voting station again.

In fact, during this weekend, the Registrar's Office enabled several points to register the ballot papers or change the voting stations from 8 in the morning to 6 in the afternoon.
