The regions of Puno, Arequipa, Ica and Huaral have joined the transport strike that has been taking place due to rising prices for gasoline, LPG, diesel, oil and the gas ball in Peru, in addition to the increase in tolls and the increase in the price of freight. Peruvians, tired of all this, have decided to take to the streets, producing a long queue of cars and buses that cannot reach their destinations.
Several of them are no longer feasible to transport cargo, as traders begin to speculate on input prices. They consider that when faced with such an expensive fuel, their profit margin when transporting their products is not at their expense. The roads that are currently blocked in some sectors are the Pan-American South and the Fernando Belaúnde Terry highway.
