Grupo Firme continues to make history in Mexico because after three successful presentations at the Sol Forum in Mexico City, the fourth one has already been announced. With their performances sold out, the band was cheered on social networks but was also compared to Coldplay, the British group that has already performed in the same place and will do so again in a few weeks.

The Mexican regional band gathered 65,000 people on each of their dates presented this weekend and after having managed to conquer the capital's public as part of their tour Enfiestados y Amanecidos 2022, now it has not only been compared to a pop band but also social media users have considered that everything have done better.

The reason that started this viral debate on platforms such as Twitter began with the photos and videos that attendees uploaded to share their fun attendance with the digital platform. Colored bracelets and great fireworks are not exclusive to the band performing Something Just Like This, The Scientist and My Universe, but now the Mexicans assured that Eduin Caz's group far exceeded the execution of this trend.

Although the proponents of the group headed by Chris Martin mentioned that many bands do use pyrotechnics like soloists or any other type of massive event, Coldplay has made this visual element one of their main distinguishing features in their live concerts as well as their general performances. including that of Super Bowl 50 in 2016 where artists of the stature of Beyoncé were some of his guests.

“Coldplay did not invent pyrotechnics but it must be recognized that it is an essential element of them.” “There is no point of comparison between a pop band and a Mexican regional band.” “The truth is that I am increasingly surprised by what the fans of Grupo Firme do to have their band of songs for drunks in tendency.” “I don't want to sound ugly, but it's absurd for people to dare to say that a Mexican regional band is better at something than a foreign band has been doing for years, even before they were born,” the detractors wrote on Twitter.

For many of the fans of the group that performs songs such as Ya superame, El Toxico and En Tu Perra Vida, the colorful bracelets and fireworks, although they are normally associated with the British band, this time it was much better with the colors of the Mexican flag that not only lit up throughout the venue, but even reached the surroundings of the Foro Sol where in some way they could also enjoy the great performances of the band.

“People are always going to criticize everything that is Mexican, even though this time the boys did much better.” “Nobody invented anything but Grupo Firme gave it that Mexican touch that everyone should really see and enjoy live.” “Coldplay is a very cool band but if we don't recognize that bracelets and fireworks aren't something exclusive to someone we can't debate who did it better.” “Mexico has great artists and not because it is a Mexican regional is synonymous with the fact that a show cannot have these elements,” fans of the group wrote.

Prior to their presentations, on the voice of the band itself, they mentioned that their circulation was to reach a forum, or to fulfill much smaller goals, because they thought it was a lot of responsibility; however, the “bucket of cold water” to sell in record time was what made them begin to believe in the true magic of Grupo Firme.
