The Bogotá midfielder gave something to talk about with his statements to the press about what had been the fall of his team in Antioquia.

The blue team fell on the most recent date of Colombian football to “El Poderoso” at the Atanasio Girardot Stadium. Beyond the defeat, one of his footballers received praise from the press and fans. This is David Macalister Silva, the 35-year-old from Bogota who has been serving the ambassador team for almost 7 years. Compared to Xavi Hernández, the current coach of FC Barcelona, for his way of expressing himself about what happened in the game, Silva referred in a press conference to the reasons why his team fell to Deportivo Independiente Medellín.

He described with good wisdom the variants in the attack that the players had and pointed out the failures in not taking advantage of the spaces achieved. He was emphatic in the good defense proposed by the rival team, whose lines were reduced every time the ambassador team approached. What surprised everyone was the way in which Bogotá was expressed, with a vocabulary of those who know the sport perfectly. “What a pride to have players in Colombian football like Macalister, what pride that they educate everyone who is outside the field and remind us that everything is very easy from the outside and that it is another thing to be inside (...) Let people realize that in Colombia there are also these types of players who are above many coaches when it comes to expressing themselves,” said former footballer Jorge 'Patron' Bermúdez in a chat with Balón Divido of ESPN.

Medellin won against Millonarios at home with a solid proposal that gave effect thanks, among other things, to Alberto Gamero's poor decisions with the changes. Both teams had casualties for the commitment. The Powerful One did not have Adrián Arregui, Felipe Pardo, Luciano Pons and Vladimir Hernandez. While the ambassadors presented the absences of Álvaro Montero and Juan Pablo Vargas, called by their respective teams for the last date of the World Cup qualifier.

From the beginning, the people of the capital were oblivious to the development of the game. In the goal play, José Cuenú, one of the novelties in the starting lineup, lost the ball to one of the rival players. Cambindo escaped alone and fell into the area on the departure of goalkeeper Juan Moreno. The referee, with a very poor presentation, sentenced the penalty. It was quite far from the move. The television replay allowed us to see that the Medellín player threw himself to the ground before contact with the goalkeeper ambassador. The VAR did not notice the judge's decision and Andrés Cadavid, former captain of the Blues, was in charge of the execution. He did not celebrate the goal, but left the Antioquians winning from the 5th minute. It was enough for Millionaires to have no reaction.

The blues' winning streak came to an end, but despite the defeat they still remain leaders of the tournament. Macalister, accompanied by his DT, spoke about the deconcentration of his team and expressed his desire to be able to see among the immense spaces seen from the stands. His well-articulated explanation earned him the praise of many people, both in the media and on the networks. Millionaires has in its ranks a smart player, not only on the field but also outside it.
