Berlin, 24 Mar Germany will give each taxpayer a one-time payment of 300 euros and will temporarily lower the price of fuels as part of a series of measures to compensate for the sharp rise in energy prices as a result of the war in Ukraine. This was announced on Thursday by the leaders of the three parties of the governing coalition after a long night of negotiations in which it was agreed to reduce the price of gasoline and diesel by 30 and 15 cents, respectively, over the next three months. The latter will be formulated through a temporary reduction of fuel tax.
