After Karla Díaz became a social media trend for selling a sweater that netizens found at a lower price in a Chinese clothing store, the singer raised her voice through Sensei Media so that together they explained how they started selling the garment, offered alternatives for those who they have already acquired it and assured that they will proceed legally against their supplier.

Hours after the JNS member was shown on the internet, the Pinky Promise production house issued a press release to clarify the situation in which they were involved with their collaborator. To begin with, they explained that several months ago they made a deal with a Mexican merchant known as Be Fancy, who offered them a sweater of their own, but everything seems to indicate that it is not an original design.

After negotiations, they agreed to put the garment up for sale in La Pinky Shop, an online store where you can find official items from the program led by Karla Díaz. Thus, they bought about 50 units and each one was offered to the public at a cost of 980 pesos. However, last Monday, February 21, some social media users claimed that the sweater was on sale in Shein for a lower price.

According to the statement, it was thanks to such comments that they noticed the undeniable similarities that exist between the two garments and found that it existed in the foreign store since November 2021. For that reason, they decided to take three actions. First, they removed the product from the official website La Pinky Shop and all the social networks linked to the program.

Secondly, they offered the full refund of the money to all those people who already purchased the sweater without having to return it. Finally, they confessed that in the face of the damage they will seek legal action against those who are responsible.

We are very sorry about this situation that took us by surprise as well as you, since we were always aware that our supplier was selling a producer of his own and completely original,” the statement reads.
