The organizers of the women's motorsport W-Series announced on Tuesday the list of 17 drivers who will compete in 2022 and have removed from it “until further notice” Russian Irina Sidórkova, due to the invasion of Ukraine by her country. Sidórkova, 18, competed in this competition in 2021 with a score of 34 points and a podium, in Spielberg (Austria). In 2022 he will not be on the W-Series grid, which will feature support races in eight Formula One Grand Prix weekends starting in Miami (USA) in May. The British Jamie Chadwick, champion in the previous two editions (2019 and 2022), will once again be the woman to beat in the competition. In the list of five drivers there are five who will make their W-Series debut: Czech Tereza Babickova, 18; Philippine Bianca Bustamante (17), US Chloe Chambers (17), Dutch Emely De Heus (19) and Japan's Juju Noda (16).
