Lviv, Ukraine, 21 Mar The Russian army today forcibly dispersed a demonstration by civilians residing in the Ukrainian city of Kherson (south), causing several injuries, according to Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform. According to Regional Council Vice President Yury Sobolevsky, Russian forces fired into the air and used stun and gas grenades to disperse peaceful protesters calling for the withdrawal of troops from Moscow. The most seriously injured was an old man who, after being hit in the leg, had to be evacuated in an ambulance, as he was bleeding profusely, Sobolevsky added in statements cited by the agency.
