On March 8, on International Women's Day, Chihuahua Senator Bertha Caraveo denounced influencer Chumel Torres for gender-based violence.

This is because in one of the broadcasts of his program, El Pulso de la República, he verbally assaulted her and referred to her in a derogatory way, which also brought back to the fore some of the misogynistic comments that the influencer made in the past through his social networks.

But on March 14, the Attorney General's Office (FGR) notified the senator that it opened an investigation kit against her for the crime of political gender violence

Faced with this situation, the filmmaker and follower of the fourth Transformation, Epigmenio Ibarra, mocked what could happen through his official Twitter account.

In the commentary, he ironized the fact and compared it with what happened to Carlos Loret de Mola at the time: 'Is the journalistic elite preparing their new farce around another of their “martyrs of freedom of expression”? Will they all be like Chumel now? '.

Hours later, the hashtag #TodosSomosChumel began to position itself as a trend on the Twitter social network. Chumel, for his part, faced with the popularization of the hashtag, answered with humor: “Don't be me. It doesn't suit them.”

Likewise, hours later, he posted a video along with the comment “Freedom of expression? No. Not here. There's no such thing here.” In the 50-second video, he asserted that he is not afraid or worried.

“The Pulse doesn't have a single head, it's not me, it's a hydra. And if you cut off his head, he grows seven more, sons of his p*nche mother.” After saying that he comes from Chihuahua, a state where people face adversity, he declared “Let yourself come, let yourself come, there is still a lot of p*nche north to these veins”.

Ibarra was referring to the hashtag that was positioned for several days #TodosSomosLoret, with which they showed their support to the journalist, after President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) made his alleged salary public at one of his morning conferences.

This happened after the journalist published in Latinus, together with Mexicans Against Corruption and Impunity (MCCI) the report of the Grey House: the millionaire mansion of Texas where AMLO's oldest son, Jose Ramon Lopez Beltran and his wife Emily Adams live.

Following the attacks on journalists and communicators by AMLO, in recent days the comedian was also singled out by the president as the new “ideologue of conservatism” and that he would pay more attention to the influencer, because “since Brozo and no one else helps them anymore, it's no longer working for them, it's Chumel”.

To which Torres replied that he would introduce children with cancer in his program for the president to take them into account.

In response to the FGR's announcement, several have alleged on social media that instead of a complaint of gender-based violence, it is an attempt at censorship by Senator de Morena, who showed her support for the president for the publication of the Grey House report.

The comments for which the senator filed the complaint were shared in an excerpt of the program through her Twitter account:

“This stupid*, ah! , I told him stupid*, I meant him moron, it's Bertha Caraveo, senator of Morena from Chihuahua. The dick takes me! Madam, all the more dragged and slimy, and the shell grows, mija, eh! A little more lambiscona and he scalds his tongue with the President”, is heard in the 45-second video of the Chumel Torres program.
