Travelling Torino are humbled in a 1-0 defeat by Milan

Milan take the victory and the points as Torino return home with nothing on Tuesday

AC Milan defeat Torino 1-0 on Tuesday at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Both Milan and Torino arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Milan were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two matches against Bologna away and Hellas Verona at home, by 4-2 and 3-2 respectively. Torino had been hopeful of extending their winning run, after a 3-2 victory against Genoa. As it stands, Milan are currently 1st with 28 points from 10 matches, while Torino sit in 12th, with 11 points from 10.

It was an impressive opening from Milan, with a goal from Olivier Giroud in the 14th minute, ending the first half 1-0. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the game ended 1-0.

For Milan, Simon Kjaer, Theo Hernandez, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Ismael Bennacer and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, came on for Alessio Romagnoli, Pierre Kalulu, Sandro Tonali, Rade Krunic and Olivier Giroud. Torino replaced Alessandro Buongiorno, Karol Linetty, Andrea Belotti, Wilfried Stephane Singo and Ola Aina for Ricardo Rodriguez, Dennis Praet, Antonio Sanabria, Mergim Vojvoda and Simone Zaza.

There were bookings for Alessio Romagnoli, Pierre Kalulu and Tiemoue Bakayoko from Milan. For Torino, Alessandro Buongiorno, Wilfried Stephane Singo and Tommaso Pobega saw yellow.

Milan will next play Roma away, with Torino facing Sampdoria at home.
